WHAT IS LOVE?

I believe that this is a fantastic site which gives your viewers the opportunity to express their true feelings.

I have written some birthday poems before but I wish to dedicate this one to my other half.

What is Love?

Love is like some shallow streams
It gently flows through our hearts, our dreams
It gathers pace as time goes by
The depth, the smoothness, serenity!... Oh my!
The warmth, the sweetness we gently feel
We immersed in passion as we swim with thrill
We tread in slowly we dare not trip
Or else for sure we’ll lose our grip

Love is like a hollow tree
So radiant, so promising but no guarantee
It’s all on trunk not from the heart
Think otherwise and we’ll be a Pratt
The leaves so wide from which we shelter
Sweet talks that leads us to the alter
As years go by we realize
T’was nothing but a pack of lies

Some times love is like the weather
It comes and goes no time for warning
You are so focused there is no bother
And suddenly the tears start pouring
You run for cover but nowhere to hide
What’s left to do now is save your pride

To many Love is togetherness
To speak, console and to caress
In time of need just be prepared
To be called upon and don’t be scared
No matter what the call may be
Remember, Love, True Love! You’ll be there for me.

With Love there is no guarantee
True love? The promises? Not good enough for Me!
But Love is like a shallow stream
And suddenly the tide comes in
No time to immerse, no time for passion
We run for cover as we feel the tension
Love is like a shallow stream
It’s nothing but a mirage!
It’s like a Dream!
